In their American Educational Research Association (AERA) Distinguished Contributions to Research in Education Award (2016) event, Michelene Chi was invited to present Acquired Wisdom: Lessons Learned by Distinguished Researchers at AERA's 2017 meeting. As last year's award recipient, she was able to share her experiences and make recommendations to colleagues that they could use to enhance their work.
The Distinguished Contributions to Research in Education Award is "the premier acknowledgment of outstanding achievement and success in education research. It is designed to publicize, motivate, encourage, and suggest models for education research at its best."
“Award winners exemplify a commitment to the study and practice of education,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine at the 2016 event. “We are proud to honor their outstanding scholarship and service to the field.”
